Andrei DumitrescuSoftpedia editor profile and review archive

My name is Andrei Dumitrescu and I have been playing video games since the days of Dune II and pixelated Formula 1 races, although reports from my father mention some earlier mainframe gaming when I was about 5 years old that involved Prince of Persia and stacks of print-outs about potions.

Since then I have played about 2–3 hours a day for most of my life and much more since I joined Softpedia. I tend to prefer strategy and role playing games but I am always open to new genres and experiences, which lately have involved more console gaming and dabbling into the social game space.

Although I tend to spend most of my free time playing games I also read fiction and magazines, watch movies at a rate of about 6 per week and hang out with a solid group of real world friends.
