Rapper T.I. is currently in prison serving an 11-month sentence for violation of parole, but that’s not stopping him from getting his music to fans. A 30-second preview of his next song, a collaboration with Christina Aguilera, is now out.

Word about the collaboration first got out online as a rumor, with gossip blogger Perez Hilton being the one to first report it.

Without as much as offering a confirmation of the rumor, T.I. put a preview of the song out: 30 seconds of Christina Aguilera singing in a very heart-broken like voice about how lonely it is inside the “Castle Walls,” which is also the name of the song.

As Celebrity-Mania also points out, the song preview also comes with a short video, showing the rapper only, looking intently at the camera, while also being appropriately sober.

Christina is not shown at all in the preview video but undoubtedly the official complete version will also include her.

“Christina Aguilera gives a haunting touch to her new collaboration with T.I., ‘Castle Walls.’ A 30-second snippet of the duet track has popped out in a form of preview clip,” Celebrity-Mania writes.

Indeed, Aguilera’s voice is haunting, especially since she brings it almost down to a whisper, while singing about loneliness.

“Everyone thinks that I have it all/ But it’s so empty, living behind these castle walls, these castle walls./ If I should tumble, if I should fall/ Would anyone hear me, screaming behind these castle walls/ There’s no one here at all/ Behind these castle walls,” the diva sings.

Produced by Da Kid, “Castle Walls” is included on T.I.’s upcoming album “No Mercy,” which will arrive in music stores across the US on December 7.

Speaking of “Castle walls” with a music magazine just recently, Da Kid offered an insight into what fans might expect from it, saying it would span so many genres it would undoubtedly become an instant hit.

“It’s hip-hop, it’s electro, but I think it’s gonna lend itself to a broad audience. It has some kind of substance to it in the lyrics. It should work on radio and in the club, hopefully,” Da Kid said, as cited by Celebrity-Mania.

Below is the preview for “Castle Walls.” Enjoy.
