14 DAY TRIAL // Diva Christina Aguilera continues her tour to promote her first feature film, the musical “Burlesque.” Last night on the season finale of Dancing With the Stars, XTina performed a brand new song from the soundtrack, together with the classic “Beautiful.”
Both renditions managed to get the audience on their feet, but it was perhaps “Show Me How Your Burlesque” that was more interesting to watch, especially since Christina did her best to keep up with the energetic dance moves.
As the lights turned on the stage, where a set piece resembling something we’d see in a burlesque dance club was, Christina started to get all worked up with the song, while more and more dancers appeared as if out of nowhere.
Though she recently said that for her AMAs 2010 performance she had a lot of trouble learning the choreography again, if the same applied to the DWTS one, none of that was apparent.
Christina came across as the same perfectionist as ever, singing live and not missing a single note, while also keeping up with the most energetic dance moves from the routine.
Her take on “Beautiful” was equally gorgeous, albeit more “quiet.” Sitting on her knees on a round small stage, the diva sang her heart out as ballet dancers executed dance moves based on the sign language.
She didn’t dance this time but, as it happens, the song didn’t require her to do so – her stage presence and her amazing voice were enough for the live audience.
As for the few extra pounds that Christina is carrying as of late and on which everybody seems to be focusing, we were telling you yesterday they’re not down to pregnancy but stress-based.
“Let’s cut to the chase – Aguilera is NOT pregnant. She is going through a hard time, getting divorced, opening a film and caring for her son and hasn’t had time to work out,” a source was telling the US media yesterday.
