14 DAY TRIAL // Singer Christina Aguilera performed at the 2010 American Music Awards on Sunday, to promote her upcoming film “Burlesque” but, after her live rendition of “Express (Burlesque)” all that people could talk about was how she might be pregnant.
Indeed, as fans of the diva must know, she’s always been in top shape, except for back in the day when she was pregnant with Max, when she did pack on a few extra pounds.
Since announcing her split from husband of 5 years Jordan Bratman, though, Christina has been looking more curvy – with the AMAs showing off just how much plumper she was (by celebrity standards, not those of the average woman) because of her outfit.
Since she’s promoting a movie called “Burlesque” about (what else?) a burlesque dancer looking to make it big in the industry, the singer took to the stage in a sparkly black leotard.
As she danced and sang and turned to the side, it became clear that her sparkly white belt was there to create the impression of a slimmer waistline, as she’d gained some weight in the abdomen area – hence the pregnancy rumor.
Gossip Cop, a e-zine that specializes precisely in verifying the most circulated celebrity rumors, says it has it from very good authority that XTina is not with child again.
“Let’s cut to the chase – Aguilera is NOT pregnant,” Gossip Cop writes, rubbishing a story in OK! Magazine which claimed the singer’s weight gain was down to a bun in the oven.
The logical explanation is that Christina has gained some weight – apparently, she’s prone to stress eating and, what with the divorce, it makes sense that she gained a few pounds.
“She is going through a hard time, getting divorced, opening a film and caring for her son and hasn’t had time to work out,” a source close to the singer (and actress) explains for Gossip Cop.
