14 DAY TRIAL // The Honor 5X seems to be one of the most popular mid-range Android smartphones launched by Huawei in the last couple of the months.
The device was initially introduced in China back in November, but Huawei announced that the Honor 5X would be released in the United States starting this month.
Today, the Chinese handset maker has confirmed the upcoming availability of the Honor 5X in many European countries. In fact, the smartphone is already listed on Vmall's European online store, but no price tag has been attached to it.
On top of that, Huawei offers a promo code worth £20 / €20 / CHF 20 that can be applied when purchasing the Honor 5X in Europe. Customers who wish to take advantage of this promo code will have to enter their email on the Huawei Honor 5X page.
The smartphone will be available for purchase through Huawei's online stores in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
Aside from the promo code mentioned earlier, those who will actually purchase the Honor 5X will receive another promo code that will shave £10 / €10 / CHF 10 off their next order from Huawei.
The specs
The Honor 5X comes preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, but Huawei has confirmed the smartphone will receive a Marshmallow update soon after release.
Specs-wise, Huawei's mid-range handset packs a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with either 2 or 3GB of RAM.
Also, the smartphone includes 16GB of storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card lot. Huawei Honor 5X features a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash, and video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front.
The Honor 5X sports a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and packs a 3,000 mAh battery.
