Xerox, the global document management company, recently announced the launch of its new mobile print solution, that targets mobile office workers, as well as IT professionals. The new service helps users print their documents regardless of location

The Xerox Mobile Print Solution also makes it more easy and secure to print e-mails, presentations and other business documents from any smartphone or e-mail-enabled device.

Besides the Mobile Print Solution, the company's new service comprises two more tools, Xerox Mobile Express and Global Print Drivers.

Enhanced Mobile Express and Global Print Drivers are used to specifically tell the users which printer is available at a certain moment, directly on their laptop, so they can use it for fast printing options.

“No two mobile workers are the same – from the executive reviewing a presentation on his phone en route to a staff meeting to the NYC-based employee working at Paris headquarters – but all need an easy and secure way to print,” said Rick Dastin, president, Enterprise Business Group, Xerox Corporation.

“Our approach delivers simplicity for any location, helping mobile workers focus more on their business and less on how to print,” added Dastin.

Further, the Xerox Mobile Print Solution enables users the possibility to print from e-mail-enabled devices without having to download drivers or applications.

You will only need to e-mail the file in its original format (Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF), to a secure server, after which a confirmation code will be e-mailed back to you to securely release the document for printing from any Xerox Extensible Interface Platform-enabled multifunction printer.

To enforce the security of the the Xerox Mobile Print Solution, the company uses its own private server.

The other two tools, Xerox Mobile Express and Global Print Drivers, have also been improved, so they can help mobile users to print to virtually any printer or multifunction printer available on the network, regardless of location or brand, and reduce the time spent managing print drivers for various devices.

The Mobile Express and Global Print Drivers are free and currently available for download from the developer's website, while the Xerox Mobile Print Solution will be available in early 2011.
