HTC Corporation, a worldwide leading developer of mobile phones, announced today the availability of two of its flagship handsets, the HTC Touch Pro2 and the Touch Diamond2, which are expected to come to the market at the end of June 2009 and in mid-May, respectively, at all authorized resellers. In addition, the company also announced that the suggested retail prices of the devices would be SGD $1,328 and $1,088.

The new announcement comes only one day after the maker unveiled a new partnership with CSL Limited, a Hong Kong operator, for the launch of the HTC Touch Diamond2 in the area. Both HTC Touch Pro2 and Touch Diamond2 have been designed to provide users with an intuitive interface, while also featuring unique style, mixing together function, form and cutting-edge technology to enhance the communication and mobile Internet experience.

“The HTC Touch Pro2 and HTC Touch Diamond2 introduce a mobile communication experience that simplifies how we communicate with people in our lives whether through voice, text or email,” said Peter Chou, president and CEO, HTC Corp. “HTC is delivering the latest, cutting-edge sophistication in a broad portfolio of mobile phones that improve how people live, work and communicate.”

The HTC Touch Pro2 is mainly targeted at business professionals and comes with HTC’s TouchFLO 3D, people-centric communication and Push Internet technology, while including a high-resolution 3.6-inch widescreen VGA display and a full-QWERTY keyboard. It also sports improved battery life, a touch-sensitive zoom bar, expandable memory and gravity, proximity and ambient light sensors, proving to be both a touch-optimized handset and a heavy-emailing device.

One of the new features that HTC has packed inside the phone is the Straight Talk technology, which provides integrated email, voice and speakerphone, allowing users to seamlessly move from email to single or multi-party conference calls anytime they need to. At the same time, the technology is also meant to offer a high-fidelity voice and sound experience through asymmetric speakers and advanced noise suppression, transforming the HTC Touch Pro2 into a conference room speakerphone system when it is flipped.

Both HTC Touch Pro2 and HTC Touch Diamond2 come with the company’s latest TouchFLO 3D user interface, which has been customized to integrate seamlessly with the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, and include the company's people-centric communication approach designed so as to offer a single contact view showing the individual conversation history of contacts for either voice, text or email, as well as HTC’s Push Internet technology, which enables users to pre-select favorite websites to get immediate access to them.
