Approved by the FCC and UMTS enabled

Milking the cow... This is probably Motorola's motto and, from what I can figure out, they are doing a hell of a job especially when talking about the R*ZR series. They made it available in all kinds of form factors, in all types of make-overs and I suppose it is really hard for everyone to discover a new way to get money out of it. For everybody, yes, but not for Motorola!

Four days ago, they have released the MOTORAZRmaxx V6 Ferrari Challenge Mobile Phone Limited Edition, a pretty pretentious name for a cellphone that only gets you a bonus of wallpapers and some Ferrari inspired sounds.

Now they put up their MAXX V6 on the FCC table for a close inspection and what did the FCC showed to everybody? The MAXX is now "transformed" in a quad-band GSM handset with an added 850 MHz UMTS radio which automatically puts the handset's V6 engine in the fifth gear.

That means you'll get to taste the 3G sweetness with a Motorola flavor and, at the same time, you'll also have the chance to do it while holding in your hand the top model in the RAZR series (it doesn't have Ferrari wallpapers but I suppose you'll figure out how to get some if you really want it).

The device also sports the goodies we already know the MAXX has: a 2 megapixel digital camera, a second VGA one for video calls, wireless Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP profiles for stereo audio output, 50 MB of internal memory and a microSD memory expansion card slot for the storage needy users out there.

As a conclusion to all these Motorola mischief and the spy undercover lessons provided for us by their MAXX cellphone, let's all give a round of applause to the very helpful guys working for the FCC and say a big thank you for the photos (even if they aren't top notch quality, they're good enough for us) they "release" on the web destroying the secrecy plans of every phone manufacturer with plans to release a handset in USA.

FCC, keep up the good work! :)
