People, get up and say hello to the newest US approved mobile citizen-the i-mate KJAR! If you don't remember where you have seen this handset before, let me refresh your memory. Last time we heard about it was in October 2006 when this device offered us a fast and sneaky preview of what we should expect from it.

Today it has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission and, if you don't know that yet, this means the KJAR is going your way (taking the Route 66 maybe :) ) and will hit the cellphone retail stores in no time.

What is this handset capable of? Well, for starters, you'll be impressed by its ninja-like skills because this is no ordinary handheld. It doesn't only flip, flop, pivot or slide. No! It does them all at the same time so if you'll get your hands on it, you can experience the joy of playing with a Transformer toy one more time.

It won't get to look like a motorcycle or like an airplane after you will finish meddling around with it but, in the end, you'll surely understand this is not only an enjoyable experience (for you and for your big-eyed kids standing next to you) because the ninja feature implemented in the KJAR by i-mate is there for you to find out what is the best viewing angle and the most comfortable way to use it.

It features a Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC operating system, running on a Texas Instruments OMAP750 processor, helped by 128MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM memory. Hidden under its ninja suit, you'll also find a full featured QWERTY keyboard, a 2 megapixel digital camera, wireless Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity, a miniSD memory expansion card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b and a 2.4 inch QVGA touchscreen.

The price and the US release date of the device is not known yet but start saving your money if you want to get it home because this tri-band GSM handset is going to end up in a cellphone store near you very fast. And, of course, ninja style! :)
