Slimmest handset ever

Last time Samsung has decided to make the "world's thinnest cellphone," we have seen the SGH-X820 Ultra Edition 6.9 handset come to life. That time, they have said the X820 is as slim as Apple's iPod nano.

Today it seems they decided "nano" is waaay too big and they have officially announced what is going to become the Ultra Edition 5.9 cellphone.

There are no words yet about what its name is going to be but one thing is sure: in case you lose it or it manages to fall down from your hand, you might find it stuck in some 5.9 mm crack or even loose it forever.

The amazing things about this phone, which is probably an X820 that just got out of a hunger strike, don't stop at its almost impossible size but go along with its built-in 3.2 megapixel digital camera. Lots of megapixels in such a small package wouldn't you agree?

What else is to get happy about? The cellphone is a tri-band GSM that has a passport with an USA visa in its pocket as the rumors say, wireless Bluetooth connectivity and 80 MB of internal memory.

Even if the Ultra Edition 5.9 wouldn't have featured such a high quality camera, I'm sure lots of people would still put their money down just to be able to brag about having the slimmest mobile phone on an area covering a few blocks in each direction.

Anyway, if you picture yourself doing such a thing, you will have to wait for it until March this year if you live in Europe, an unknown period of time if you reside stateside and if you live in Asia, you wouldn't probably want it anyway because you have a lot of better handsets already on the store shelves for some time now.
