Australian mobile phone carrier Tesltra has just unveiled plans announce the exact availability of the high-end Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone on its airwaves as soon as June 30th.

The wireless carrier confirmed several weeks ago that the high-end device would arrive on its shelves this summer, but specific info on the matter has not been made available until now.

However, this Thursday (June 30th) should be the lucky day for enthusiast waiting for the new mobile phone to be released on the carrier's network.

According to a recent tweet from the company (via Ausdroid), they will announce the release date for the new device at that time, and, hopefully, they will also unveil some info on its pricing.

The Samsung Galaxy S II was launched on the market in Australia in early June on the airwaves of Optus, and was also made available on the airwaves of Vodafone recently.

The mobile phone was unveiled to the world during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, and got a processor speed increase before being launched in April.

The handset comes with a fast 1.2GHz dual core application processor inside, complemented by 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory (along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space).

Samsung also packed the Galaxy S II with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution, as well as with support for HSPA+ networks, which means that it should offer increased speeds on Telstra's Next G network.

On the back, the mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for video recording in full HD, complemented by a front-facing camera for enabling video calling on the go.

The Samsung Galaxy S II also packs WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, along with built-in GPS receiver, the usual set of sensors, and Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS (with support for specific mobile services and applications).
