Samsung Galaxy S II, the latest flagship Android-based mobile phone the South Korean handset vendor brought to the market during the ongoing year, is available for purchase in Australia via Vodafone as well, following its exclusive availability at Optus for two weeks.

Today, all Vodafone stores around the country will start selling the smartphone, the wireless carrier announced via a post on Twitter.

“The Samsung Galaxy S 2 is now available in all Vodafone stores from today. Who's going to get their hands on one,” the company noted.

The Samsung Galaxy S II was made available for purchase on Vodafone’s $45 infinite cap with $10 per month repayments.

However, it is also available on other monthly contracts, and can be purchased for $0 upfront on all of the other Infinite cap offerings that cost over $45 per month.

This is one of the most appealing smartphones that arrived on the market during the ongoing year, following the launch of Samsung Galaxy S in 2011.

The new mobile phone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and sports a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core application processor inside.

Moreover, the new mobile phone comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a qHD resolution, as well as with 1GB of RAM to complement the power of the said CPU.

Samsung also packed the flagship smartphone with an 8megapixel photo snapper on the back, offering users the possibility to shoot videos in full HD.

Courtesy of a camera on the front, users can also engage in video chat with their friends or family.

The handset sports 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot which accommodates cards of up to 32GB.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities were included into the mix as well, along with GPS built-in receiver, and the usual set of sensors. Google Mobile services and access to the Android Market for downloading applications and games were included as well.
