Canadian wireless carrier Bell is reportedly gearing up for the launch of Samsung Galaxy S II, the flagship Android-based device from Samsung that went official in February this year with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board. Rumors on the upcoming availability of this device on the market in Canada did emerge before, but nothing was mentioned on its possible arrival at Bell.

However, leaked details that emerged on TechFIBE point at the possible arrival of Galaxy S II on shelves at Bell as soon as July 14th.

Last week, the high-end smartphone was confirmed as being on its way to SaskTel in July as well, and chances are that other wireless carriers in the country would plan making a similar move as well.

The info on Galaxy S II's arrival at Bell comes from a leaked flyer that also touts some of the handset's capabilities, such as the support for speeds of up to 21 Mbps on this carrier's HSPA+ network.

The specifications list of Samsung Galaxy S II includes a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.

The mobile phone also comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, as well as with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with the capability to record videos in full HD, and a front-facing camera for video calling. Samsung Galaxy S II also sports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, along with built-in GPS receiver, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The handset is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with Touchwiz 4.0 loaded on top of it.

It also offers access to a wide range of mobile services from Google, as well as to applications available for download via the Android Market.

Provided that the info on Galaxy S II's arrival on shelves at Bell pans out, some official details on the launch should be released in the near future.
