Sony Ericsson's latest offer is 3G packed in a slim mobile phone. With the K530 handset, the Swedish company offers fast Internet access through a full Web browser.

The K530 cell phone model has several features which are meant to make it both appealing and practical. Probably the most important feature is that it is capable of 3G connectivity. Actually, this is the performance which Sony Ericsson considered most worthy of promoting on this handset.

The design is also highly appealing and follows the design line of previous phone models coming from this company in the K-series. Sony Ericsson K530 is only 14 mm thick, which makes it extremely comfortable to handle and especially delicate. It comes with a 2 inch screen capable of rendering up to 262,144 colors.

Another special feature that the K530 phone model integrates is the 2 megapixel camera with 2.5 digital zoom. This may not be a performance out of the ordinary, but proves to be useful, as the camera is capable of capturing high quality images and also allows video calling.

Other specifications for this phone model include a 16MB internal memory capacity and also support for Memory Stick Micro. Moreover, this phone model also works with SatNav, the latest GPS enable launched by Sony Ericsson. With this in mind, Yuting Xu, K530 Product Manager at Sony Ericsson noticed that the only thing the user has to do is to "Plug the GPS Enabler into your K530 and you have your own personal SatNav. Because the HGE-100 doubles up as your phone's stereo headset, it means that you can have a GPS-enabled phone, just when you need it. So as you will see with the K530, there is no compromising on the size of the phone".

Sony Ericsson K530 will be available for purchase starting with the third quarter of the year 2007. An estimate price has not been specified for this handset until now.
