Samsung Ultra Edition II 12.1 has been approved by FCC, which means that there are high hopes for a future release of this handset in the US too. That is expected to happen pretty soon, as the phone has been announced for some time now for a release.

The Samsung U700 slider phone had been announced to come on the 14th of June at Vodafone, as the UK mobile telecommunications company had listed this phone on their website as a "soon to come" handset. That day passed and, in the meantime, the phone has turned to "available now".

The US has high chances of getting this slider phone in the near future, now that FCC has approved it. The phone comes with several evolved performances which are meant to bring the best in a phone to its user.

One thing that has high chances of appealing to the general public is that Samsung U700 is actually the slimmest 3G-enabled slider phone in the world. With this, it manages to combine excellent design with high performances at only 12.1 mm in thickness.

Samsung U700 is a 3.5G phone which is capable of reaching data transfer speeds of up to 3.6Mbps due to HSDPA and EDGE technology.

One more considerable advantage for this phone model is that it also comes equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera which places this handset among those capable of best capture performances. One secondary VGA camera is also available in order to provide videocall image quality.

Samsung U700 sounds too good to keep it only for one country. The future looks bright for this handset, as it has high chances of soon becoming available at a larger scale. All that we know so far about the future of Samsung U700 on the US market is that FCC's approval gives it high chances of becoming available here too sometime in the near future.
