Among the total of 53 mobile phones which have been released at this year's edition of CommunicAsia 2007, Samsung SGH-J600 is one of the handsets which have managed to catch some of the spotlights.

The reason for this mobile phone managing to catch some interest from the wide range of such presented devices is disputable. We are talking about a mid-level camera phone, but one with high chances of responding to a wide range of basic needs.

Samsung SGH-J600 comes in a slim, compact design, which has high chances of appealing to a wide range of people. It weighs only 99 grams, at 90,6 mm long, 44.7 mm wide and 17.9mm thick. This makes it earn a place among the slimmest slider phones and some extra appreciation might come from the stylish design. The phone has an easy navigation pad just under the display screen and large buttons on the keypad in order to make it as easy to handle as possible.

The 1.9 inch screen is just enough for what it will be used for. Samsung SGH-J600 is not capable of the most evolved video and image rendering performances, so the 65k colors on a 128 x 160 resolution will be sufficient.

Users should not expect higher than the average performances from the camera either. It is capable of capturing images with a 1.3 megapixel resolution and is also video capable at quite low standards. Entertainment is provided through the integrated MP3 player and built-in FM radio. Samsung SGH-J600 comes with an internal memory of 20 MB, but an additional storage space is available, as it supports microSD memory cards of up to 2GB.

Samsung SGH-J600 will be available starting this month in Southeast Asia and it will come in various colors: gray, purple blue, cool silver and coral pink. The price that this handset will come for has not been revealed yet.
