It might be a Symbian S60 5th edition device

Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson is reportedly getting ready to come to the market with another handset based on the Symbian S60 5th edition operating system, a device that should be called Jalou. The company has already announced the release of a Symbian based handset this year, the Satio, which should land before the end of the ongoing year.

For what it's worth, the so-called Sony Ericsson Jalou might not even exist after all, though the people over at et.idnes.cz say that it is very much real and that this is its sales name, and not a codename. No image with the device is yet available, though the site shows a modified picture of a W995, which surfaced on it168.com, and which is the result of an enthusiast's imagination, as the Jalou might also be.

Although we have a lot of doubts, the phone might prove real in the end, and it's worth noting that it is expected to come to the market with a 3-inch touchscreen display, coupled with a 5-megapixel photo snapper, satellite navigation, HSDPA, and Wi-Fi connectivity options. A specs sheet on the device also surfaced on it168.com, and it shows that the phone is headed for China, along with another Sony Ericsson device, Aino, but that doesn't mean that Jalou won't come to other markets too in case it is real.

Some of the handsets that the mobile phone maker announced this year include the aforementioned Satio and Aino, along with T715, Yari and Naite, as well as the Android based Xperia X3, also known as Rachael. At the same time, a second version of the Windows Mobile-based Xperia X1 is also expected to be unveiled before the end of the year. Hopefully, more details on the Sony Ericsson Jalou will become available in the near future, along with an official announcement from the company.
