We've already spotted the first mobile phone coming straight from Sony Ericsson with Google's Android operating system on board, the so-called Rachael, which was also rumored to come to the market as the Xperia X3, and now we learn that the device has been confirmed. Although the handset maker hasn't announced it officially, the handset can already be spotted listed for purchase on Expansys, which means that it should be official it no time.

Although the phone is still unannounced, it seems that the retail website is offering to the world the entire spec list of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, and we have to say that the device looks quite appealing. For example, it boasts an 8-megapixel photo snapper, which sports LED Flash, Auto Focus, 8X digital zoom, Smile Shutter, Image Stabilization, Face Detection and video recording capabilities, as well as a 4-inch touch sensitive display that can deliver an 800 x 400 pixel resolution.

The specification list of Sony Ericsson's first Android device also includes quad-band GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900MHz), HSDPA (10Mbps), HSUPA (2Mbps) and 3G (900/2100MHz) connectivity, as well as e-mail (POP3, SMTP, IMAP4, MS Exchange), MMS (with video) and SMS capabilities, Bluetooth (2.1) and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11g) connectivity, and GPS receiver with A-GPS. In addition, the device also comes with a 3.5mm headset jack, as well as with a microSDHC memory card slot for additional storage space, miniUSB, voice dialing, and music player with support for MP3, AAC, eAAC+ file formats.

One can only be impressed by the specs of the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, and it seems that there’s more. For example, although it comes with Android, the device is expected to feature the proprietary 3D panel user interface that most of you might already know from the X1. Although the handset is listed for pre-order, no price or availability date have been announced, so we'll still have to wait a little longer before all the pieces of the puzzle become available. Stick around to learn more details on this.
