Canadian mobile phone maker and wireless carrier Orange announced recently the launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone on the market in Spain. The new mobile phone, now available for users in the country, comes with high-end communications and multimedia features, while also boasting a compact and refined design, and can easily prove a great option for all kinds of users.

[ADMARk=1]According to RIM, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with great performance levels and with high-end functionality and features as well. The handset includes support for 3G networks, as well as built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi connectivity options, as well as a 624 MHz processor coupled with 256 MB Flash memory, and a 3.2 megapixel photo snapper for sharp image capture.

“Cutting edge engineering and premium finishes extend to the exterior of the handset as well, with a smoothly integrated touch-sensitive trackpad and a highly tactile, distinctive, fretted QWERTY keyboard. The dark chrome frame and leatherette back add to the new smartphone's sleek and elegant look, while the narrow profile, balanced weight and soft-touch sides allow it to feel incredibly comfortable in one hand,” says RIM about the phone.

Among the specifications the Bold 9700 brings to the mobile phone market in Spain, we can count a 2.44-inch light-sensing display that boasts a 480 x 360 pixel resolution at 245 ppi, a highly tactile full-QWERTY keyboard, microSD/SDHD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space (a 2GB card included in the package), Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5 mm stereo headset jack and dedicated volume controls. The handset runs under BlackBerry OS 5.0 which has been designed so as to enhance the user experience even more. In addition, it comes with media player for videos, pictures and music, support for file syncing with a desktop computer, and with access to the BlackBerry App World, where users will find a great deal of applications for their devices. Bold 9700 is available in Spain from Orange with all tariffs for BlackBerry Internet Service starting at €5 per month, and with those for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
