Nokia N97 is the hottest Symbian mobile phone the Finnish handset vendor Nokia delivered to the market during the ongoing year, and now users in Canada can also have a taste of it, via wireless carrier Bell. The operator was expected to launch the high-end device in the country as soon as December 10 arrives, and it seems that it kept its word in the end.

Bell subscribers who would like to get acquainted with this nice piece of hardware will find it available with the carrier for $199.95 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement. However, those unwilling to commit to such a long term can also purchase the Nokia N97 for $449.95 on a two year agreement, or for $549.95 with the signing of a one-year contract.

Additionally, the Nokia N97 is also available from Bell free of contract with a price tag set at $599.95. Regardless the choice one will make, the device is capable of delivering the same goodies to all: a 3.5-tilt touchscreen display, along with a sliding full QWERTY keyboard. Moreover, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, auto-focus, video recording capabilities, 20x digital zoom, and geo-tagging also comes with the package.

Other specifications of the handset also include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, Quad-Band: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz GSM / GPRS / EDGE and Tri-Band: 850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz HSPA / UMTS connectivity options, 32 GB of internal memory coupled with a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, MP3 player, Radio, Internet browsing, email, IM, SMS, MMS, and video messaging, TV-out, and Speakerphone, as well as support for a variety of services, including Ovi Maps Navigation, access to Ovi Store for applications and widgets downloads, and other more. One of the most important features of the handset is, of course, the compatibility with Bell's new HSPA network.
