Canadian mobile phone carrier Bell Mobility is reportedly gearing up for the launch of yet another high-end handset for its users, in the form of Nokia N97. Moreover, it seems that the said launch is to happen in the very near future, namely this Thursday, on December 10. While the launch date is almost confirmed at the moment, it seems that there are no exact details available on the price tag the new Nokia phone is set to arrive on the market with.

The Nokia N97, as many of you might already know, is one of the flagship models the Espoo, Finland-based handset vendor has delivered to the market during the ongoing year. Based on the Symbian S60 platform, the N97 can easily prove itself as a true computer in a small form factor. It comes around with a 3.5-inch tilt touchscreen display, while also sporting a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which can indeed provide users with a computer-like experience at all times.

The specifications list of the Nokia N97, in case there are some of you who haven't stumbled upon them already, includes, beside the aforementioned screen and keyboard, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus, dual LED flash, 20x zoom and other appealing features (auto exposure, self timer, white balance), as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi connectivity options and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Other features are available with the Nokia N97 as well, including great Internet browsing capabilities, email and messaging, and support for a wide range of productivity and entertainment services and applications, all inside a device that measures 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9 mm and weighs 150 grams. In shouldn't be too long before Canadians will have the possibility to enjoy the handset on Bell's airwaves, so stay tuned to learn additional details on it.
