New information about L.A. Noire is about to be released soon by Rockstar, according to a Public Relations representative of the company. Rockstar has entered a kind of radio silence lately, announcing only the delay of Max Payne 3. Furthermore, the company behind such big hits like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption was not present at this year's Electronic Entertainement Expo.

Phil Douse, international PR manager at Rockstar was recently contacted Connected Consoles, about the state of the development of Agent and Max Payne 3. He responded that, “I’m afraid there’s nothing to report on Agent and Max Payne 3 currently, however there will be further updates to follow on LA Noire in the coming weeks.”

L.A. Noire is an action adventure game that is developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games. The title is set in the Los Angeles of the late 1940s, tasking the player to solve a mysterious series of killings. Both L.A. Noire's atmosphere and narrative are inspired by film noir motion pictures from that period. These movies were shot in black and white and usually involved murder enigmas in a morally ambiguous context. The developer is planning to use an aesthetic that homages the artistic style of a film noir production using some very interesting global illumination technology.

Team Bondi is a studio formed by former members of Team Soho, creators of many Sony exclusive titles like the British gangster movie inspired The Getaway, but also more casual releases like the EyePet or some installments in the Singstar franchise. Nothing much is known about L.A. Noire at the time being, making this small announcement very good news. The title is supposed to come about before the end of this year on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
