Galaxy S, Samsung's latest flagship Android-based mobile phone, is headed for the United States market on the airwaves of various carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular and more, not to mention that it would land at Sprint in a special, QWERTY-enabled flavor. However, since each device has been designed for a specific carrier, one can imagine that they would be quite different, boasting different carrier applications and support for some different services.

We already reported on the various announcements Samsung made recently regarding the launch of Galaxy S handsets via wireless operators in the US, and now we'll take a closer look as some of the features that these devices should arrive with. For example, Verizon's Galaxy S, which should arrive on shelves as the Samsung Fascinate, is expected to pack Microsoft's Bing search application, or flash on its back, something that the other Galaxy S units do not include.

At the same time, a recent article on mobileburn notes that Verizon's handset would also include the Blockbuster application, which was recently announced as being pre-loaded on the upcoming DROID X by Motorola. There are no specific details on whether Fascinate would have the app available for its users right from the start, but it would certainly land on the phone, especially since Verizon announced that the solution would be offered on more devices than DROID X. Skype Mobile and VCAST solutions should be pre-loaded on Fascinate.

Other features of the upcoming devices include the TouchWiz UI from Samsung, as well as the Swype application (which has become quite popular lately, as more and more devices come to the market with it). Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G should come to the market with Qik on board, along with a series of Sprint applications. The handset should prove a great pair to the other 4G-capable mobile phone at Sprint, the HTC EVO 4G, especially with that QWERTY keyboard attached to it. The guys over at Engadget had the chance to take the device for a spin, and came up with the video available below, offering us the chance to have a closer look at what Sprint has in store for its users.
