Brings forth a wide range of features and apps

Samsung Galaxy S, the handset vendor's flagship Android-based mobile phone, was rumored a while ago to be on its way to all major carriers in the United States, and the latest announcements from Samsung and operators in the country prove exactly that. According to Samsung, Verizon Wireless' customers should soon be able to purchase the new device as the Samsung Fascinate. Specific details on availability and pricing should be unveiled in the near future.

Running under Google's Android 2.1 operating system, the new Galaxy S mobile phone from Samsung seems to be one of the hottest devices the company brought to the market lately. Boasting a four-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display and a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, the handset should be able to offer an enhanced experience to all users out there. Whether it's about entertainment, multimedia, messaging or social networking, the Fascinate has them all, in addition to support for Google Mobile Services, including, Gmail, YouTube, Android Market and more.

Some of the main features of the new device include: - Brilliant display makes watching movies, viewing videos and playing games come to life like never before, even in bright light and outdoor environments - Advanced touch screen gesture capabilities, including multi-touch pinch to zoom, double tap to zoom and horizontal swiping, which provides easier and quicker access to many applications, including location-based services, Web browsing and digital photos or videos - Preloaded with Bing Maps and Bing Search - Multiple file formats supported, including DivX support - Full suite of messaging options – Text, picture, video and voice messaging; corporate and personal e-mail accounts supported.

At the same time, the new Samsung Fascinate would arrive on shelves with a nice range of features, apps and services from Verizon Wireless, including V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video on Demand, Visual Voice Mail, VZ Navigator and Mobile IM, or City ID. Social networking integration, including Facebook, comes in the package too, along with Exchange, Google, or Twitter contact syncing, Samsung’s Social Hub, an AllShare Application to send multimedia content to DLNA-enabled devices, and many more.
