This year's Mobile World Congress, set to kick off in Barcelona only a few days from now, should bring to the spotlight at least two new devices from South Korea handset vendor Samsung, both running under Google's Android operating system.

One of these devices would be the Samsung Galaxy S2, the successor of last year's popular Galaxy S smartphone, which already made it to the headlines before, and which was confirmed officially for a launch as soon as tomorrow.

The smartphone has made another appearance into the wild, this time on a Korean website, Paran, which also unveiled a series of specifications on this smartphone.

Apparently, Samsung would have the new device running under the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, which should look great on the phone's 4.3-inch display.

Among the rumored specs of this device, we can count a 1GHz dual-core processor, along with HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity options. The handset is said to weigh in at 116g (4.09 ounces) and to be only 8.49mm thick.

Another Android device that Samsung might officially announce tomorrow would be the Galaxy Tab 2, a tablet PC packing a 7-inch screen and dual core CPU, but it seems that another slate might also make an appearance during Samsung's event.

The aforementioned news site (via SamFirmware) notes that Samsung would plan the unveiling of a 10.1-inch tablet PC running under Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

The device should also include a 1GHz dual-core application processor, along with an 8-megapixel photo snapper, with “full HD” video recording capabilities, as well as dual surround sound speakers.

This is not the first time the handset vendor is rumored to plan the release of a tablet PC with a larger screen than Galaxy Tab, to better compete against Apple's iPad.

Since nothing was confirmed on this for the time being, we should wait for the official announcement to learn what exactly would Samsung have in store for us.
