South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has been long rumored to plan the release of sequels for some of the most popular devices it brought to the market last year, namely the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and the Galaxy Tab 2, and it seems that the Mobile World Congress next month might bring these devices to the spotlight.

What seems to be Samsung's PR plan for the upcoming event in Barcelona has just leaked into the wild, and both Galaxy S 2 and the Galaxy Tab 2 are listed there for a February 13th unveiling.

The leaked document seems to have emerged over at Samsung Hub, but the page in question is no longer available on the news site.

However, the document, which is said to be legitimate, shows that Samsung would offer devices for hands-on to the media, which sounds more than great.

Info on the hardware specifications of the two devices did not emerge, but some of the previous rumors suggested that both of them would land with enhanced internal circuitry, as well as with newer OS flavors than the previous devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S 2 was rumored not too long ago to be on its way to the market with a dual-core application processor inside, complemented by a large 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen.

Moreover, the device was said to include a higher resolution camera than the 5-megapixel one on the original Galaxy S, as well as a front-facing camera, along with support for HSPA+ 3G, and more.

As for Galaxy Tab 2, rumor has it that it would include either a better 7-inch screen, or a 10-inch one. It could also include a better processor, as well as enhanced support for 3G networks. Android 3.0 Honeycomb is also expected to have been included into the mix.

Of course, nothing was confirmed officially on these devices for the time being, but more could emerge soon, especially if Samsung plans on making them official at the upcoming MWC show, so stay tuned.

Don't forget that Softpedia will be present on the floor at MWC in Barcelona this year, so as to bring you the latest on any new announcements and updates on devices, services or software.
