Wireless carrier Sprint has just made available for purchase its second mobile phone powered by Google's Android OS that boasts 4G connectivity options, namely the Samsung Epic 4G. Additionally, the company announced stock availability of its HTC EVO 4G. A Galaxy S device, the new handset is available for purchase from the wireless carrier with a price tag of $249.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier, and after a $100.00 mail-in rebate.

Packing a large 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display and a 1 GHz processor, the new mobile phone is capable of delivering a great multimedia experience to its users.

Moreover, it comes with support for the next-generation 4G networks, providing users with up to 10 times faster download speeds than other device deliver on 3G.

On top of that, the phone offers users the possibility to share connectivity with a number of up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

The specifications list of this phone also includes a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, dual cameras (one on the front for video calling, and a 5MP one on the back).

Other specifications of Samsung Epic 4G include: - Dual-mode 3G/4G device, access to dependable 3G speeds and accelerated 4G speeds where available - Combined IM, MMS and SMS messaging - GPS Navigation enabled - Bluetooth Wireless, Web browsing - MicroSD memory card slot for additional storage space - Integrated contacts from multiple sources - Linked Contacts and Layered Calendar

The phone measures 4.9 x 2.5 x 0.6 inches and weighs in at 5.46 oz, while packing a 1500 mAh Lithium Ion Battery that can offer up to 6.5 hours of talk time.

As stated above, the Samsung Epic 4G is the second WiMAX-capable smartphone at the carrier, following the launch of HTC EVO 4G earlier this year.

The EVO 4G is currently available for purchase at the carrier too, after being out of stock for the past several days.

It seems that EVO 4G is one of the best selling handset at Sprint, since the carrier has had issues with keeping it in stock ever since launch day.
