According to the latest news on the Web, Emgeton, the Czech-based company that is mostly known for the digital music players it has on the market, also plans to come forth with a new mobile phone. The handset, which is dubbed Emgeton Enzo, comes as a 3G candybar cell phone that seems to resemble in a way Sony Ericsson’s already known C902.

On the other hand, the new Emgeton Enzo device has its distinctive features, one of them being the fact that it doesn't include a high-end photo snapper like the Sony Ericsson handset does. Yet, the new phone has a Qualcomm / Philips chipset that allows it to support two SIM cards at the same time, while also offering customers the possibility to use them “completely independently of each other.”

The new Emgeton Enzo also comes with a 2.2-inch TFT display that is able to deliver a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 260k colors, as well as a 2-megapixel camera. The new device features tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (900/1800/1900), and also sports HSDPA 2100 connectivity, yet it is only available for the first SIM card.

Among the other features that have been packed inside the new mobile phone we can count Bluetooth connectivity, MP3 / video player, E-mail capabilities, a secondary VGA camera for video calls, and 50MB of internal memory coupled with a microSD memory card slot that can offer support for up to 4GB of additional storage space.

The Emgeton Enzo handset comes with a battery able to provide up to 5 hours of talk time, as well as up to 10 days of standby time. The phone measures 117 x 49 x 16.5 mm and weighs 109 grams, and it is expected to become available starting next month, at least in the Czech Republic, for a price that has been set at $388 (300 Euros or 7,990 CZK).
