14 DAY TRIAL // David Arquette and Courteney Cox are no longer a couple but they’re yet to file for divorce, choosing to see how their relationship fares after a little time spent apart. Just recently, they made a trip to Disneyland with their daughter Coco – and David did not waste the opportunity to put the moves on his ex.
The couple separated in October last year, after 11 years of marriage. They never went into the specifics of the split, but they did say David was too immature for the relationship and he needed to change.
The other week, they sparked rumors of a possible reconciliation when they went to Disneyland together – and, for the first time in months, seemed like a real couple.
In a radio talk with Howard Stern, David revealed that, had it been for him only, he and Court would now be back together because he did his best to seduce her on the family vacation, Us Magazine reports.
“Listen, I tried to [expletive] her, and she doesn’t even want me,” David said in his usual blunt manner, which got him in trouble with Courteney before.
Perhaps realizing he was again over-sharing, David added quickly, “Oh, that’s probably something I shouldn’t have said.”
For David, getting back with his wife seems to remain his number one priority, especially since he’s now dealt with some of the issues that led to the marriage falling apart: he’s recently completed a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse.
“This is the happiest place on Earth! Let’s make it happier! I mean, I love her. I love her with all my heart,” David said of the family vacation.
When Stern asked him whether he’d made any progress at all as regards a possible reconciliation, David admitted that at least he got to kiss Courteney.
“A little bit. It was like we were... eighth graders. Seventh graders,” he added.
In the same interview, David also denied reports that Courteney is dating her “Cougar” co-star – though he wouldn’t blame her if she did because she’s a “free woman.”
