The upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is being rigorously tested by many teams in order to find and eliminate all of the issues, glitches and exploits that might appear once the game is released later this year, by Activision.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far one of the biggest games that are scheduled to appear in 2011, at least from a sales standpoint, so Activision, its publisher, together with its two developers, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, are working hard on polishing the experience and making sure that the final product is as close to perfection as possible.

Yesterday, we heard that the companies have brought in a special team of glitch "experts" in order to try out the multiplayer mode in the new game and find as many problems as possible, fact which has now been confirmed by Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward's creative strategist.

"The mapMonkey's are correct," he said to CVG. "They're out at the studio to help us run Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer through its paces. While we've been hammering away testing on it since it's been up and running, these guys focus specifically on exploits that can potentially be used to an unfair advantage, such as getting outside a map's playable area, inside geo, or find weapon / equipment exploits that were not intended by the designer so that we can catch and address these before it gets out to the public."

"They're a great addition to an already rigorous QA process that the internal team here at Infinity Ward / Sledgehammer and additionally at Activision have been doing since development began," Bowling added.

The developers of Modern Warfare 3 promised that the game is set to deliver an improved version of the already impressive multiplayer modes in Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops, with revised killstreaks, more options and the integration with the upcoming Call of Duty Elite online service, which is set to be released at the same as the new game, on November 8.
