Microsoft's RPG game for the Japanese market is doing extremely well in sales, and the video game was not even released. Microsoft officials were stunned with the interest shown by Japanese gamers in the upcoming RPG.

The game was developed exclusively for the Xbox 360 games console but is not due to be released until December 7. Stores have been taking pre-orders for the game as of this morning and stumbled upon a large amount of interest on the behalf of Japanese gamers.

Blue Dragon is also available as a hardware bundle, that includes the Xbox 360 core system and the Blue Dragon video game for a price around 29,800 yen-converted in American currency the sum is more or less USD 250. Of course that this hardware bundle is limited, and besides the 360 and Blue Dragon software, the bundle contains an original table calendar, a Blue Dragon faceplate specially designed by Akira Toriyama and a set of five figurines embodying some characters of the game.

The table calendar, face plate and miniature figurines will not be available with all hardware bundles. As Microsoft will produce 100,000 bundles, the "full-option" package will be included only in some 10% of the bundles. Some Japanese retailers report that they have already sold out their Blue Dragon bundle stocks, one store supposedly sold its bundle supply in just five minutes.
