The Redmond Company has made Microsoft Getting Started on Windows Web Hosting available for immediate download via the Microsoft Download Center. The 703 KB zip file is offered by Microsoft without restrictions and is compatible with Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-Bit x86); Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition (32-Bit x86) and Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition (32-bit x86).

"Microsoft Getting Started on Windows Web Hosting is a subset of the complete Web hosting details found in The Microsoft Solution for Windows-based Hosting version 4.0. In order to help hosters quickly grasp the concepts and obtain practical experience in Windows-based Web hosting, Getting Started on Windows Web Hosting offers a simplified set of deployment and provisioning documentation, samples, and scripts for two basic Web hosting deployment scenarios," stated Microsoft in the product's description.

The two basic Web hosting deployment scenarios mentioned above are the basic locally managed Web hosting and the basic centrally managed Web hosting. In this context, Microsoft Getting Started on Windows Web Hosting is designed to deliver comprehensive web hosting solutions via Microsoft Windows.
