Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion seems to have some issues with delivering the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone to the market, as another carries has delayed the release of this device, Vodafone UK.

Previously, the carrier's website informed users that the Blackberry Torch 9800 was expected to start shipping to those who pre-ordered it by September 27, but the date was modified to October 1st.

“Pre-order today to receive yours first - expected 1 October,” the wireless carrier's website reads.

Vodafone UK has pushed back the launch of BlackBerry Torch 9800 shortly after Canadian carriers made a similar move, delaying the initially planned September 24th launch date for the handset to September 30th or October 1st.

No explanation for this wave of delays for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 was delivered for the time being.

However, those UK users interested in the purchase of a new BlackBerry slider from Vodafone can head over to the wireless carrier's website to secure one unit for the launch day.

The handset can be yours for free upon the signing of a contract agreement on Pay monthly plans that start at £40.

In case there are some unfamiliar with what the smartphone has to offer, here are it's main features:

- Touchscreen plus QWERTY keypad - so you can enjoy the best of both worlds - Customizable homescreen - the new BlackBerry 6 operating system lets you do more - 5 megapixel 'Zero shutter' camera - takes photos the second you push the button
