Recently, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion announced the availability of one of its latest handsets on the market in Indonesia, namely the BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone.

This is the latest device in the company's BlackBerry Bold series of smartphones, offering an appealing design, complemented by an easy-to-use keyboard and optical trackpad.

According to the company, the new device is already available for purchase on the market in Indonesia, via various retailers and wireless carriers.

“We are confident that consumers in Indonesia will enjoy the BlackBerry Bold 9780,” Gregory Wade, Managing Director of Southeast Asia, RIM, said.

“Featuring the new BlackBerry 6 operating system as well as an improved 5 megapixel camera, this powerful new smartphone delivers a truly outstanding mobile experience.”

The new handset comes with a wide range of appealing features, starting with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system, and moving forth to advanced communications and multimedia features. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 features a compact and stylish design, along with support for 3G networks, Wi-Fi connectivity, or built-in GPS receiver for navigation capabilities.

The handset also comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, flash and video recording, along with 512 MB of Flash memory, or a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32 GB of additional storage space.

Not to mention that it comes with the new BlackBerry 6 OS on board, which includes a new WebKit-based browser, universal search, and great multimedia capabilities. BlackBerry Bold 9780 with BlackBerry 6 will also offer support for social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace, as well as for other messaging features, including BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), and more.

“Its enhanced multimedia experience rivals the best in the industry and includes a dedicated YouTube app,” the mobile phone maker notes.

“It also features redesigned Music and Pictures applications and a new universal search feature that allows users to more effectively search for content on the smartphone as well as extend their search to the Internet or to discover applications on BlackBerry App World.”
