Hello and welcome to a new edition of A Gamer's Week, our regular recap of the last seven days in terms of gaming news, reviews, and coverage here on Softpedia.

Jumping right into the thick of things, this week we've posted reviews for quite a few interesting games, such as Armello, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Cross of the Dutchman, as well as WonderCat Adventures. We've also had a quick look at Kickstarter project 12 Is Better Than 6.

Moreover, my colleague Andrei Dumitrescu continued his Until Dawn Gamer Diary, and in a particularly interesting EndWeekGame piece, he also talked about how games can help planning a trip. On the other hand, I posted an editorial about the growth of eSports by studying its performance in Romania.

Moving on to the actual news

On Monday, Treyarch revealed just how its upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 uses the power of platforms like the PC, PS4, or Xbox One to improve its different mechanics. FIFA 16 also got a list of features that are possible only on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, along with those that are also present on PS3 or Xbox 360 consoles.

Tuesday brought forth the Destiny patch 2.0 changelog as well as the actual update, which paves the way for next week's The Taken King expansion. The Witcher 3 also got actual details about its first major add-on, in the form of Hearts of Stone. A gameplay video and a few screenshots confirmed some interesting new adventures.

On Wednesday, Bungie started confirming that it was investigating any and all issues relating to The Taken King and update 2.0, while Bethesda revealed that it would launch a Season Pass for Fallout 4, which would cover all the DLC ever released for the post-apocalyptic role-playing game.

Telltale Games shared on Thursday some more details about the exploration and crafting in Minecraft: Story Mode, while some leaked documents mentioned that DirectX 12 and Windows 10 would boost the Xbox One CPU performance by 50% and the GPU by 20%.

Friday brought some bad news for those who are still waiting for a GTA 5 story expansion. Rockstar confirmed that it was working only on new content for GTA Online, so no more single-player adventures are coming. Ghost Games also showcased the many different ways Need for Speed players can visually customize their vehicles in the racing experience.
