The development team at Bungie has delivered the full list of changes that are being introduced to the Destiny experience with the new 2.0 update, a long read that will have implications for how players approach each core feature of the social shooter.

Gamers should head to the official site to take a look at everything the studio has to say, neatly divided into chapters, with a focus on weapons and classes.

Almost no element of the shooter is untouched, and gamers will be happy to learn that the networking has been improved and that all cutscenes can now be skipped.

Some of the tweaks to weapons in update 2.0 will be controversial for some gamers, and it will be interesting to see whether they can persuade Bungie to walk some of them back.

The Taken King is now one week away

Once gamers are able to process all the changes made to Destiny, they can start to prepare for the arrival of the expansion, which is bigger than both The Dark Below and House of Wolves.

Bungie makes it clear that more tweaks will be made next week, although it's unclear when the company will deliver a full list.

For one week starting today, gamers can also try out some expansion content in the Crucible, getting a free sneak peek at the kind of experience that they can now buy.

The Taken King will be offered all the platforms on September 15, with gamers getting some extra content on the PlayStation 4 and the PS3.

Gamers who get it will be able to access new strikes and to also visit the dreadnought, which is a new area that's designed to offer variety when compared to the already existing planets.

The community can also use three new subclasses, more weapons, better equipment and can get their Guardians to a new cap, with extra power available to be unlocked.

The King's Fall raid for Destiny will be delivered to all gamers on September 18, allowing them to first improve their characters and tactics before they take on Oryx, the toughest boss that has ever been featured in the shooter.
