This week, the review department of Softpedia Games is delivering long-form evaluations for: FIFA 15, the newest football simulation from EA Sports, Wasteland 2, the Kickstarter-powered party-based role-playing title from InXile, Minimum, Defense Grid 2 and Tiestru.

We also have editorials that talk about the power of the Bungie fan base to basically delay reviews for Destiny and about the disconnection between story and gameplay in the same title.

Announcements and patch launches

On Monday, Sony announced that it was offering all owners of the PlayStation 4 free multiplayer for the weekend so that they can test out the experiences offered by new titles, and the Xbox One was rumored to go without a screenshot feature for the rest of the year.

On Tuesday, a new unfinished area was revealed for Destiny, which might be fleshed out via DLC, a new major event was launched by the team at Bungie, and a first gameplay trailer was offered for WWE 2K15, showing some of the core features.

On Wednesday, Blizzard announced that it was canceling the Titan MMO because it did not manage to find passion for it, while the biggest MOBA on the market, DOTA 2, received a new major patch with some big changes.

EA Sports also delivered a big patch for NHL 15 which introduces some core features that fans have been asking for.

On Thursday, the Exo Survival cooperative mode was revealed for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, more details appeared for the Titan project that Blizzard announced it was canceling, and a new Project Widow was revealed for Assassin’s Creed Unity, showing the beauty of Paris.

On Friday, The Creative Assembly announced a new Total War title based on the life of Attila and his exploits, the free games for Xbox Live Gold were announced, and BioWare offered a lot of new images linked to Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Finally, on Saturday, Bungie talked about the new patch 1.0.2 for Destiny and LeBron James was revealed as the best small forward in NBA Live 15.
