NBA Live 15 is a video game that will need to deliver a special level of quality in order to be able to compete with NBA 2K15, and the developers working on it at EA Sports are continuing to reveal player ratings for a variety of positions in order to get fans interested in the experience.

The official site is now ready to talk about the small forwards included in the basketball sim, which features some of the best players in the entire game and fan favorites that have captured the imagination of their followers.

The best player for this position in NBA Live 15 is LeBron James, rated at 95 overall, the player who many analysts of the sport believe to currently be the best in the world when he performs at his top level.

EA Sports states, “The NBA's best player returns to Cleveland after winning a pair of titles in South Beach. James, a four-time MVP, checks in as the top-rated player in NBA LIVE 15.”

Second place in the small forward ranking goes to Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, rated at 94, who does not get a full image like the other players because he is currently the cover athlete for the rival NBA 2K15 title.

The last position on the podium belongs to Carmelo Anthony from the New York Knicks, coming in at 92 overall.

The developers explain, “Because of the Knicks' struggles, Anthony has almost become underrated in his own right. The seven-time All-Star is among the game's most versatile scorers, and can fill it up from anywhere on the court.”

The top five also includes Kawhi Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs, who is at 89 overall, and Andre Igoudala of the Golden State Warriors.

The developers also say that Paul George is a very good small forward, rated at 90, but he is absent because of his injury trouble.

NBA Live 15 needs to deliver sales

The NBA series from EA Sports has been plagued by quality issues for the last few years and one installment was outright canceled despite the fact that the public received access to a demo version.

For this year’s game, the studio claims that the new Ignite engine, designed specifically for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, will deliver improved visuals, realistic mechanics and some impressive basketball moments that other series cannot replicate.

It will be interesting to see how the game compares to NBA 2K15 from 2K Games when it is finally launched in late October.
