This week we have one review to show off, that for Max Payne 3, the third-person shooter slow motion enhanced title from developer Rockstar and publisher Take Two.

We also have two Gamer Diaries describing our experiences with two very different titles: Diablo III, the hack and slash powerhouse from Blizzard, and Warlock – Master of the Arcane, a turn-based strategy title from Paradox Interactive.

When it comes to Quick Looks we deliver initial impressions of: Game of Thrones, the role-playing game from Cyanide, beta impressions for Torchlight II and Ghost Recon Commander, a Facebook-only game from Ubisoft.

We also have two Weekend Reading features: one dealing with Naval War: Arctic Circle and the line between the hardcore and a wide audience, and another about the rivalry between Torchlight II and Diablo III.

As always, we also have an EndWeekGame piece on our future gaming plans and a selection of the most interesting pieces of news of the past seven days.

On Monday, we found that the first big expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim might be called Dragonborn and not Dawnguard, while a number of voice actors confirmed that they were working on a new piece of single-player DLC.

On Tuesday, Blizzard talked about possible hacks for Diablo III accounts and the development team at Sony Santa Monica discussed how collaboration influences the design of God of War: Ascension.

On Wednesday, Treyarch offered information on the branching story of Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Relic released some new screenshots for Company of Heroes 2.

On Thursday, Operation ShieldWall was announced for Mass Effect 3 and Vigil revealed that the critical path for Darksiders II would take 25 hours to complete.

On Friday, one player was reported dead after a marathon Diablo III session, while Blizzard talked about a possible patch for next week.

On Saturday, The Cave was officially detailed, just as Treyarch talked about variety and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
