Three of the most important voice actors for Mass Effect 3 have confirmed that they are working with video game developer BioWare in order to create new dialog that will be used in the upcoming Extended Cut downloadable content.

Lance Henriksen, the actor who lent his voice to Admiral Hackett, told G4 that he was already working with BioWare on new dialogue, stating, “I just did another session with them. They were saying there’s a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending. So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they’ve been doing.”

Raphael Sbarge, who is the man behind Kaidan Alenko, has also confirmed that new voice work is being created, saying, “Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep pulling me back in Mass Effect. Recording.”

Tricia Helfer, best known for playing Number Six on Battlestar Galactica and the voice of EDI, also announced that she was working with BioWare on new dialog for her character.

The Extended Cut DLC is designed to placate those Mass Effect 3 players who have voiced their discontent with the end of the game and with the lack of actual choice when it comes to how the series concludes.

BioWare has admitted that it did not offer enough content and that many player choices were ignored and has said that it will offer new DLC which, while not actually changing the ending, will offer more details on the various characters and on the final fate of the galaxy.

The company has not said exactly when Extended Cut might be launched, but summer is a good possibility and the entire DLC pack will probably be offered for free to those who have a new copy of Mass Effect 3.

Until then BioWare is also delivering multiplayer-oriented events and DLC for the game.
