This week, like the last one, was dominated by Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, with some more gamer diaries to show for all the time spent with Blizzard's latest. But we also found bit of time to craft a Weekend Reading feature that talks how Heart of the Swarm needs to take some chances and an EndWeekGame article. We also have a quick look at the news that were the most significant over the last seven days.

On Monday Electronic Arts has announced that its upcoming Medal of Honor first person shooter will come with a redeemable code that offers access to the beta stage for DICE's yet not officially announced Battlefield 3.

On Tuesday Capcom talked about the games it aims to bring to the Nintendo 3DS, Resident Evil and Street Fighter, both in three dimensions, and said that they would not be arriving before the end of March 2011, while Electronic Arts finally confirms the rumors and officially talks about The Sims and their upcoming medieval time travel.

On Wednesday Lionhead and Microsoft announced that those who pre order Fable III will be able to create a virtual character before the game is launched using the Village Maker that can then be imported and interacted with in the game itself. Sony also used the day to show off the Special Edition for Gran Turismo 5 as it will appear in Europe.

On Thursday BioWare talked about how the choices players have done in Mass Effect 2 will influence the way the story is crafted for the last video game in the trilogy. Meanwhile Nintendo suggested that it is not yet talking about a successor for the Wii home console because it fears that imitators could steal its ideas.

On Friday we found out that the cover of FIFA 11 will depend heavily on Brazilian superstar Kaka, who will partner up with another 17 world class players to promote the new game, arriving in late September. The day also witnessed the release of more details about the new Operation Flashpoint, called Red River.
