It's been an important few days for gamers as Blizzard finally launched the first part of the Starcraft 2 saga, named Wings of Liberty, and we got to play it. We have a gamer diary about the new real time strategy title and a full review here at Softpedia. But we also found the time to create a Weekend Reading piece about Kinect and PlayStation Move and an EndWeekGame segment. And, of course, we have a selection of the most significant new of the last week. There's also a review of Deathspank you can check out.

Monday Sony unveiled the Collector's Edition for the upcoming Little Big Planet 2 from Media Molecule, that is set to contain a real life SackBoy figure. On the same day Capcom talked about the new Street Fighter X Tekken, a fighting game that will feature characters from the two franchises and might arrive in about two years.

Tuesday Starcraft 2 arrived and we spent about one hour showing what the game has to offer but we also found the time to take a good look at the demo version of the new Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.

Wednesday was all about Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty. Blizzard reacted very well to the big launch it had on its hands and offered players a lot of resources to deal with all potential issues with their game, from a full list of known issues with hardware and software to an acknowledgment of the bugs the game might have.

On Thursday Activision announced that the Nintendo DS would get a version of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops, complete with support for multiplayer games for up to six people and a two gamer cooperative element. This just as Blizzard announced that in its first day Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty managed to sell more than 1.8 million copies.

Friday information emerged that the Nintendo 3DS handheld might actually arrive in Japan by the end of October, with pricing for the device set to be announced a month in advance. We also talked about a new update for Left 4 Dead 2.
