14 DAY TRIAL // Sony’s Xperia XZ Premium was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress this February and was named the Best New Smartphone to be announced at the event. At the time of the unveiling, Sony revealed that the phone would arrive in two color options, Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black.
But Sony Mobile has taken to its Twitter account to introduce a new color option for the new smartphone, Bronze Pink. Sony’s Xperia Color Designer, Satoshi Aoyagi, has stated that the color represents “a feeling of warmth whilst at the same time exemplifying the premium features and design.”
The variant adds a much-needed splash of color to the Xperia XZ Premium, adding a new option for customers who want a more vibrant hue for their new device. The specs and design of this new model are the same, featuring a 5.5-inch 4k HDR display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back.
Bronze Pink Xperia XZ Premium to arrive soon
Sony has also announced that the Xperia XZ Premium in Bronze Pink color variant will arrive in the UK at the end of June, while other color options will arrive in stock at the start of June for a price of about £640. The device is expected to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 256GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone will run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 platform and feature a 19MP rear-facing camera (Sony IMX400 sensor) with EIS, predictive phase detection and laser autofocus. The front-camera capacity will reach 13MP with 21mm wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. One highlight of Sony’s new phone is the Motion Eye rear camera with stacked Exmos RS sensor for 5 times faster image scanning and data transfer.
The battery inside the new phone reaches 3,230mAh with Quick Charge 3.0 and Sony’s Stamina mode. It also runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
