South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung started sending out invitations to a press event to be held in New York City on June 2, starting with 5PM, according to SamMobile. The manufacturer didn’t provide any information on the purpose of this event, but the company is expected to launch a number of devices this month, therefore it could actually showcase some of them.

The design of the invitation is quite simplistic, bearing the tagline “Go, move, explore, create with the next Galaxy.” This entails that Samsung will surely showcase an upcoming Galaxy device during the event. However, there aren’t any hints on which one that will be.

Still, the South Korean manufacturer is expected to unveil the Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX Bluetooth earbuds this month, so it’s highly likely that they will be the central focus of this event.

Leaks on the upcoming Gear Fit 2 have been surfacing for quite some time now, culminating recently with a confirmation of long-time rumored specs. The Gear Fit 2 wearable fitness tracker will feature a 1.55-inch 216 x 432 Curved Super AMOLED display with Samsung 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM.

The fitness band should also come with 2GB of internal storage and IP68 certification, meaning that the device could be submerged under 1.5 meters of water for half an hour. The Gear Fit 2 should have a 200mAh battery and would run Tizen 2.3. It will feature a heart rate sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and accelerometer.

Samsung will most likely unveil the Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX

The Gear IconX is rumored to work as a fitness tracker, a standalone music player with 4GB of internal storage in one of the earbuds.

Still, there’s a slight chance that Samsung could actually reveal the Galaxy Note 7 during tomorrow’s event, but that’s highly unlikely. The upcoming Note 7 could have a 5.8-inch QHD display, 6GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The processor should be a powerful Snapdragon 823 or Exynos 8890, depending on the region.

Whatever the case, Samsung will surely unveil a Galaxy device tomorrow in New York City, most likely the Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX.
