14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung is less than two weeks away from unveiling the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7, as the launch event is scheduled on August 2. Information on the upcoming smartphone has been leaking for some time now, with new details surfacing each day.
This time, it seems that official wallpapers for the Galaxy Note 7 have been leaked online and are available for download at Android Authority. The batch of images contains wallpapers depicting the S Pen stylus, as seen in previously leaked photos of the device. Among the wallpapers for the Galaxy Note 7, there are also some images with pastel geometric shapes.
Galaxy Note 7 will debut on August 2, during an event held in New York, with Samsung announcing that it will broadcast everything on its website. Events will be held in two other cities from around the world on the same day.
Some rumors suggested that the smartphone would go on sale right after the unveiling event, but information surfaced yesterday hinted that T-Mobile might launch pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 next week. In addition, a retailer from Dubai opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 yesterday, making it the first location from where the smartphone could be purchased.
Galaxy Note 7 will come with an iris scanner and a redesigned S Pen
Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is expected to sport an iris scanner, as the technology leaked in a video recently, showing the way the system works. Nevertheless, the word is that the iris scanner won't work properly when users wear glasses or contact lenses. Samsung's usage instructions for the iris scanner also showed that the iris scanner shouldn't be used on babies since their eyes are very sensitive.
The smartphone is also said to come with a redesigned S Pen, and a new version of TouchWiz, GraceUX. Snapdragon 821 processor is also expected on the Note 7, together with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a USB Type-C port. The handset could feature a price tag of €849 in Europe.
