Earlier today, we reported on a rumor suggesting that T-Mobile would be launching pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 next week. While this was deemed highly unlikely at the time, new information has surfaced showing that the smartphone is already available for pre-order in Dubai.

In the light of this new report, it no longer seems that unlikely for pre-orders to launch in the US next week. That's why it safe to assume that T-Mobile will actually kick off pre-orders for the Note 7 in a few days' time, and other US carriers could do the same. The leak has surfaced at SamMobile, and the website has posted images of posters saying that pre-orders are live.

The name of the physical store isn't mentioned, but customers from Dubai can pre-order the smartphone by making a deposit of about $130 until August 2, when Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Note 7 in New York.

Customers in Dubai will also receive a 128GB microSD card for free upon pre-ordering the device. It's unclear if Samsung will also provide a Gear VR headset for pre-orders, as it happened with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

The Galaxy Note 7 could come with a 3,500mAh battery

New leaked images of the Galaxy Note 7 have shown the smartphone in various color variants, including blue, gold, and silver. The handset is revealed from all sides, so you can examine it from the front, side, and back.

These pictures provided by SamMobile have also hinted that the Galaxy Note 7 could come with a 3,500mAh battery, which is 100mAh less powerful than the one on the Galaxy S7 edge. Some previous rumors pointed in the direction of a 4,000mAh battery, which certainly made this device exciting.

The information was leaked by South Korea Telecom (via PastTimeLife), which posted specs of the Note 7 on its website. The device featured the model number SM-N930S, and the page revealed that the smartphone would be weighing 169 grams.

If pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 actually go live next week, then it means that specs will be confirmed prior to the August 2 launch event.
