Just as expected, as the unveiling date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 approaches, new information starts surfacing at a rapid rate. The latest states that Samsung will come in a blue color variant, dubbed Blue Coral.

Yesterday, we reported that tipster Evan Blass leaked what seemed to be the official logo for the upcoming Galaxy Note device, thus confirming that the smartphone would bear the 7 moniker.

The leakster also revealed some specs for the new handset, detailing the size of the display, together with camera features and even RAM size.

Today, it seems that information on the next Note has leaked again, indicating that it will come in a color variant called Blue Coral, as illustrated in the logo that also has a shade of blue in the Note 7 name, according to GalaxyClub.

The reason Samsung decided to use the 7 moniker for the Galaxy Note is that the company wants to bring it in line with the Galaxy S series so that consumers would be sure that the Note 7 is the latest device in the lineup.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could come in black, silver, and blue variants

Last year's Samsung Galaxy S6 standard edition also came in a blue color variant, called Blue Topaz, so it's not out of the ordinary for Samsung to release a blue color variant of the Galaxy Note 7. In addition, Galaxy S7 came with a pink model, so the Note 7 could also come in such a color variant.

Leaked specs of the Galaxy Note 7 show that the device could sport a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and dual-curved edges. It's unclear at this point whether Samsung will also release a flat screen variant, but the Note 7 is expected to feature an iris scanner and fingerprint reader, together with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Rear camera capacity should reach 12MP with f/1.7 aperture, OIS, and autofocus, while the 5MP front camera will be used for taking pictures and handling video calls. Battery capacity should reach 4,000mAh. Also worth knowing is that the device is expected to be released on August 2, 2016.
