14 DAY TRIAL // It's been quite a ride for Samsung fans who have been left in the dark as to when they will receive the long-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
A few days ago, the South Korean company had finally admitted that it has kicked off the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but only for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.
We reported a few times in the past that the upgrade has been spotted in South Korea and the UK but expected to see it expand to other countries in the coming weeks.
Samsung's announcement regarding Android 6.0 Marshmallow availability for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge contains some information about other smartphones and tablets as well.
According to Samsung, “other Galaxy devices will soon follow.” The handset maker also mentions that “for upgradable models, Samsung will make separate announcements on details of OS updates schedule for each market according to market situation and carriers’ requirements.”

Today, without any announcements, Samsung has kicked off Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Galaxy Note 5. The folks over at SamMobile report that the update is now available for download in Cambodia with build number N920CXXU2BPB6.
It's also worth mentioning that the update is only available via Samsung Smart Switch, so it's not really coming as an OTA (over the air) update.
Unfortunately, we don't know exactly when the update will arrive in other countries though we expect Samsung to offer customers more details later this month at the Mobile World Congress 2016.
However, as long there's a small chance that your smartphone might be already eligible for the upgrade, you can check for it by heading to Settings / About device / Software update.
If it's not available yet, then you will have to try again later on. Expect lots of new features and improvements in Android 6.0.1, including Doze, Google Now on Tap, app permissions, and many more.
