The most advanced Android smartphone in the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A9 Pro, was launched just two months ago in China, and it seems that Samsung might make the device available worldwide. The South Korean company imported a Galaxy A9 Pro handset to India for testing, which suggests that it will hit international markets soon.

The Galaxy A9 Pro launched in China came with powerful specs, making it the most advanced smartphone in the Galaxy A series. It retails for a price of around $540 (€482) off contract, but Samsung might increase it, depending on the market.

Zauba, an Indian provider of trade and corporate information, posted the information on its website, revealing that Samsung imported a Galaxy A9 Pro for testing. The phone carries the model number SM-A910F while the Chinese variant had the code number SM-A9100.

The post doesn’t reveal the countries in which the smartphone will be available, but a Polish retailer has reportedly started accepting pre-orders for the handset, which means that the Galaxy A9 Pro could be heading to Europe as well.

Galaxy A9 Pro should have the same specs as the Chinese variant

The smartphone is an upgraded version of the Galaxy A9 and comes with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of memory, and a 16MP rear camera. Front camera is set to reach 8MP. One of the most impressive features of the Galaxy A9 Pro is the 6-inch display that supports HD (1080p) resolution. The device comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery and ships with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS. It also has a quad-core Snapdragon 652 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz. The Galaxy A9 Pro to be released in international markets should carry very similar specs.

The post isn’t confirmation that Samsung will actually make the device available to international markets, but back in December of last year, the company tested the Galaxy A9 for an international launch and made the smartphone available shortly after that. Therefore, the Galaxy A9 Pro could reach other markets in the following months.
