The Galaxy A9 Pro is no news for Samsung fans, as the smartphone leaked some weeks ago. Being the most advanced Android handset in the Galaxy A series, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has just been introduced in China.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling when and if the smartphone will be rolled out globally. However, according to Chinese blog MyDrivers, the Galaxy A9 Pro is now available for purchase for around $540 off contract.

Chinese retailers that will ship the smartphone internationally will offer the Galaxy A9 Pro for a much higher price, and even Samsung might price the phablet differently, depending on the country.

Moving on to specs, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is a powerful device thanks to a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor inside, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via microSD card slot.

Impressive rear camera, huge display

Another selling point of the phablet could be the massive 5,000 mAh battery, along with the fact that it ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro boasts a large 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. On the back, the phablet packs a 16-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

There’s no mention of fingerprint scanner, but the phablet might feature one under the Home button. We also know Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro comes with 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS.

Since the smartphone packs such a large battery, we can safely assume that it sports some sort of quick charging technology as well. If you want to buy the Galaxy A9 Pro but you’re not located in China, you will have to wait for Samsung to bring it to other countries or check out the local online retailers.
